What am I working on this week?

Despite my kitchen installation going smoothly my writing week was a bit interrupted by different bits and pieces. But I did send  one manuscript off to an agent and another off to a publisher, which meant I had to spend a bit of time tidying up synopses. I swear agents and publishers ask for them as a way of torturing poor writers! But it is a good way of ensuring your manuscript has all the elements it needs. If there are gaps in your synopsis it generally means there are problems with your manuscript.

After the manuscripts were sent off I started the next draft of my adult sort-of horror novel. To be honest I have no idea what genre this manuscript is. I’d say weird but then people might think China Mieville weird and it’s not like that at all. What it is, at the moment, is a big mess. A mess with potential, but a mess nonetheless. It’s going to take a lot of work, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.

What’s inspiring me this week?

To be honest I’m a bit lacking in inspiration this week. Although the kitchen reno went really well it did mess up my schedule in terms of reading and watching content as well as writing.  And now I have all these cupboards and I’m not sure what to put where! So I’m more confused than inspired.

What action do I need to take?

This week I’m having my floors polished which means I have to move out for most of the week, so it’ll be a challenge again to stay on track with writing/reading. I’ll need to focus on sticking to my routine as much as possible.
