What am I working on this week?
All week (most of September actually) I’ve been focused on the rewrite of the young adult novel. I’ve now decided to enter it into the Varuna Publisher Introduction Program (PIP) which has a due date of 30 October, so I’ve set myself that deadline to get this rewrite done.
I’ve gone through the Wired for Story questions and come up with a couple of issues that I want to fix before I submit it to Varuna. These should fit easily into the time-frame, notwithstanding I’m doing a complete kitchen renovation this month, which hopefully won’t interfere with my writing schedule too much.
I’ve put aside short stories for now as I also have to write a blog post to coincide with an anthology that I have a story in, which is also due at the end of October.
What’s inspiring me this week?
Jacaranda trees. I love them.
What action do I need to take?
I need to make sure I have all important deadlines lined up in front of me so I don’t miss anything. I’ve got a lot going on this month so need to make sure I’m using all of my time effectively (and not getting lost in a seemingly never ending search for subway wall tiles).
