I’ve joined Peter M. Ball’s Sunday Circle to help keep my writing on track. Follow along here or join in the fun over at Peter’s blog, Man Versus Bear.

What am I working on this week?

Still been flat out on my rewrite for the Ampersand Prize. All other projects have had to make way for this one. I’ve organised some beta readers and will send them the latest draft Tuesday night. All on track but I’m pushing it with the deadlines.

What’s inspiring me this week?

I’ve been so deep into this manuscript I’ve barely had a chance to notice anything else. But I did listen to a podcast interview with actor/entertainer Sarah Jones this week. To be honest I’d never heard of her, despite her long list of accolades, but in her interview she talked about her creative process and how her multi-cultural childhood informed the work she does today. In  a Trump world, her ideas about connecting and sharing stories make a lot of sense, and provide hope.

What part of my project have I been avoiding?

I’ve been avoiding everything else except my project. It’s been my sole focus and will be until I get that draft on its way to my beta readers. (That’s why I’m posting this on a Monday night instead of Sunday!)
