I’ve joined Peter M. Ball’s Sunday Circle to help keep my writing on track. Follow along here or join in the fun over at Peter’s blog, Man Versus Bear.

What am I working on this week?

To be honest, not a lot.It was my daughter’s last week in Brisbane on holidays this week, and I spent most of my spare time with her. I did squeeze in a bit of work on a non-fiction piece on body horror but that’s about it. Hoping to get back into the writing groove in a big way this week.

What’s inspiring me this week?

Someone (I can’t remember who but if it was from the Sunday Circle group thank you times infinity) suggested I watch Black Mirror. I don’t have enough superlatives to describe how much I loved these shows.  I watched all series 1  and 2 (only 7 episodes between them) and have watched 4 episodes in series 3. The only way I can describe how much I loved everything about Black Mirror is to say I binge-watched 7 episodes in a single day. And I never, ever binge watch anything. This is  series I want to watch again and again.

What part of my project am  I avoiding?

There are 3 things I should be working on at the moment: the non-fiction piece, a new short story, and articles for this blog. Nothing much has moved in the past week on any of these projects, partly due to family commitments and partly to holiday slackness (binge watching Black Mirror does not count  as being slack!). I aim to be a lot more disciplined this week.
